Battlefield 2042 Steam Deck Help

I recently bought Battlefield 2042, But the game won't run on Steam Deck, I tried proton Experimental, Still wouldn't play, then got a error stating that the game was bought from another user. What in the blue hell gives here?😪

Looks like a systemic EA issue. I have the same error on PC.

You probably can't run the anticheat solution on Linux (SteamOS). Not sure about this, but could be an issue to look at.

make sure you're using the correct EA account that you linked with Steam.

Goodness Gracious, Why playing most games on steam deck has to be such a headache? I'm burned out with the steam deck.

Here's a wake up call for ya, There are a lot of games that says unsupported and still run, So you can't 100% rely on unsupported, I thought you knew that

the game is literally one of the most cpu heavy games out there even people with some of the best pc hardware have issues with the game.

in this case, "unsupported" means exactly what it entails, it's not supported on steam deck idk why you guys keep trying when even the required spec pcs struggle with the game.

I know that I have a Steam Deck too. But in comparison I do my homework before I buy a game. Since you didn't you should probably just stick to the compatibility report.

Your homework means nothing, You can't download a game for free just to see if it works, Therefore your homework is null and void

nope not at all. It won't run automatic on steam deck

EA's new kernel level anti-cheat doesn't have Steam Deck as a supported system. You can hack a lot of it, but ... that's the last line of support before the game launches. I don't think it's a priority for EA to make that work.

Plus... it's a Steam Deck. :D I wouldn't run BF2042 on it... (unless I had a full monitor, mouse, and keyboard.)

You have to put windows on your steamdeck if you want to play bf2042. You'll get better performance if you install Tiny10 (a gutted version of just the essential files to run win 10 with nothing else, not even windows defender) and install everything you need to run what you want to run yourself. I know a guy that did it, but went back to the linux steam os after a while.
