Got a link.
If this is true I'm uninstalling for at least a period of time and let them Guinea Pig others for a while and MAYBE, (probably not) reinstall.
OP's right I don't trust them either and they probably will brick some systems while they learn on the job.
I'll go one better, what is someone that creates the cheats figures out a way to high-jack or piggyback through their Kernel level whatever into a system.
It's a never ending war between them and we are the collateral damage.
More and more I like single-player games to avoid all this ♥♥♥♥.

Hey, thanks for the heads up OP.
For once, this forum served the purpose intended as opposed to the kiddies arguing over COD vs BF.

Kernel level anti cheat
:pikachu face:
EAC is also well known and used across the industry, my issue is that this is being implemented by EA to replace EAC. EA, being known for poor implementations and shoddy business tactics, as well as often failing to adequately address the community. I'm not very confident that EA will be able to put this out without issues. I know EAC is kernel level, Epic also does not have a poor release record of new software or games, so as far as I'm concerned, EA is stepping to a level I'm not quite comfortable with when it comes to them. I'll edit the post title since I realize that can be a bit misleading that my problem is the kernel access, when my problem is it is EA with kernel access
It will be a wait and see
