have to ctrl alt and del to get out of a the game.

i have 0 problems. thx ea/dice for reworking the game, giving a free weekend to try it out, and selling it for 10 bucks.

instead of making another thread about black screen, could have just google the solution.

Same problem here, sometimes a match wont start at all. So far i've played 1.5 matches since this supposed "rework". Not even worth the £8 sale

Select the install anticheat file where the games exe is located and repair/update it. This is what fixed it for me.

Happen to me very game.
Clean windows instal.

Tried:
-reinstaling/verify the game file
-reinstaling anticheat
-clear cache

No overlay or anything.

black screen happens because of the incomplete texture load right before the match ends you can lower resolution or graphics settings may work,delete game cache too

A solution that has worked for many regarding this issue is to navigate to "Documents\Battlefield 2042\cache" > enter the cache folder (Dont delete it) > Press CTRL+A (Highlights all files in this folder)> delete all files > reload game.

This cleans up all shaders/textures without resetting the path to the cache folder. You will have small stutters when you enter a new map after doing this, but it has been proven to help many with this issue.

This issue is symptomatic of a GPU power connector issue.

Can you make sure your power connectors are securely fastened to the GPU. I had this exact same issue with my 4080 and 4090 a few months ago when I had a bad cable for my PSU.

There is no solution thats why we're complaining.

Same here, been complaining since season 6 came out. having to restart the game after every match. And googling it doesn't help.

Deleting the game cache either partially works or doesn't work at all.
