To an extent, I understand the view the previous devs had when they stated that 64 was the best "number" for Battlefield in terms of balance and fun, as well as map design. The problem is, 2042 was mostly built around 128 players so the maps feel empty as the consequence.
Though not like it matters because everything BF2042 started as (Specialists being fully customizable, 128 players, large open maps, Hazard zone and Portal) have been slowly modified if not straight up deleted (Specialists are now categorized in classes and not all gadgets can be used by everyone, devs are focusing on 64 and 32 players on main mode now, as a consequence of this maps use their smaller variants for battles in tighter areas, and Hazard Zone + Portal have been straight up abandonned, one five months in, the other never received another map for previous games of the series).
Where'd you see this?
I literally bought the game for 128. 32's are trash on these big maps & Redacted is aids.
