The game has odd spawn in mechanics.
In BF4 the scaling didn't really work either. I started playing maybe an year or two after bf1 was released so there weren't too many players left and pretty much everyone were max. level so I had to play with them. The game didn't even try to place me into matches with only my level players, I'd argue it was because there were max. 10 like me at the time.
If you want people around you dumb then play against bots.
On average, Battlefield 2042 has about 79,287 peak concurrent active players each day. This number can increase during weekends or when new updates or events are released.
Also those about 80,000 "daily" Steam players (as EA hasn't made the complete numbers public since Spring 2022) are divided into the different regions, so the next question is:
Do the regional player counts get 20,000 daily players? All things considered I think the answer should be 'yes', but can't really know because it's not public knowledge.
**Edit. Obviously depending of the regions. Some regions have pretty much no players at all
Because DICE as we knew and loved them has long since been dead. Nearly all the OG talent there has left the company since BF5. And because one of the Lead Devs on 2042 is not only ex-COD, but 2042 was originally going to be a battleroyal title that they changed at the last second. The glory-days of BF2/3/4 /BC2 are long gone.
No, this number is including both steam and EA/Origin. You were the one mentioned 20k only on steam. So, I know what I meant to say. Now if you include other things like consoles, it will be even more.
It's really bad to base a games popularity only based on steam charts. Really not a good idea to be honest especially with Battlefield games as they are new to steam.
As for regions, I've played EU and US and never fail to find a full 64 game at anytime of the day in both regions.
Agreed. This is a huge part of it.
