I simply don't get the logic behind that. JUst put a freaking red info tag on the store that online feature is unavailable, buy on your own risk. And end of story.

Me neither. It's sad for Battlefield 2 because I bet there would be people playing it today with mods. Sometimes I feel nostalgic and like to play that game again with bot mods. It's still pretty fun even though it is very outdated. People are missing out because it's not sold anymore. And I bet we could have had some really interesting Battlefield 2 mods out right now if the game was still available.

Oh yeah. I remember using that a few years ago. I found a server or two back then. But maybe if BF2 was officially available, something cool could have come out of the modding community. Right now, the only way I know of getting into BF2 is through questionable downloads. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The game has long been abandoned by EA and is no longer sold, there for its considered abandonware and can leagally be downloaded.

Theres a thread on Steam with a link to the full BF2 and all expansion packs thats legit. Simply install the game and launch the BF2 hub app and play online.
