"DXGI_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED
0x887A002B
You tried to use a resource to which you did not have the required access privileges. This error is most typically caused when you write to a shared resource with read-only access."
Does your windows user has Administrator privileges, and UAC disabled?
Also:
Try disabling SAM in bios.
Try disabling every option which relate to image upscaling in Adrenalin software.
Adrenalin software also could bug out and show you stock clock but it is not true.
Try zeroing core and ram oc at MSI afterburner then try.
Try updating directx libraries.
My user is Admin, I just disabled UAC.
I checked my BIOS and I don't see an option for SAM. I did not have upscaling enabled either. I also don't use MSI Afterburner, I oc via Adrenalin only.
GPU Min: 2550. Max: 2650. Volt: 1200
VRAM Max Frequency: 2112
Power Limit %: 15
My CPU is not overclocked, its at default. Tuning is also at default.
I checked my DirectX and it is also up to date. Still not launching
Try -
1. Navigating to user documents folder - bf2042 - cache, and delete everything inside this folder.
2. Roll back to previous driver.
3. Update Visual c++ redistributables.
4. Try installing msi afterburner and set all oc to 0.
SAM could ve called on bios as Above 4g Decoding or re-size bar support.
It is recommended to be disabled only if you have issues in games.
Ok, so I did all of those. No luck.
I have Re-Size Bar in BIOS and it was turned off so I turned it on, just fyi.
Go to game directory:
\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042\__Installer\Origin\redist\internal\
And just manually launch the EAappInstaller.exe, it will tell you it's already installed, run the repair. Log back in to EA App, then launch from Steam. GG
Go to your Start Menu and search for Environment Variables - open first result
See if you have something called GAME_DATA_DIR affecting your game
Delete it and reboot
also ea runs in background exit it in task manager
