I don't mind singleplayer campaigns in BF, if I know that their development doesn't interfere with multiplayer. Noone but the devs can know if that's the case. Like, I can't really speak against BC2, BF3, BF4 and BF1 campaigns because the multiplayer component is great.
But if I view them purely from a campaign perspective, they're below average to my taste.
Regardless, the point is that MP-only Battlefield is normal for Battlefield. Having campaigns is kinda the exception made to compete with CoD.
