Why no full XP in single player/co-op?
As title suggests having the option to level up outside of multiplayer without penalty would be welcome.

Would also like to see Team death match in single player/co-op please.

The more options and playability BF 2042 has the better for the product right?

Punishing players and forcing them to multiplayer to basically make experience is not good.

Also, why do XP boosters only last 1 hour?

Given that their is downtime in loading, results, matchmaking etc this seems pretty unfair.

Why not make an XP booster that lasts 24 hours so it provides better value?

Known issue, they are working on it.

Hi GobboKirk,

It seems though that when you select singler player/coop it actually says it's reduced XP (as in purposefully designed that way).

This made me think they (the developers) want to funnel players into multiplayer if they want XP which I think is not good.

I hope you are right and this is something they fix or remove.

Earnt an XP booster on Battlepass and it was worthless as I played an hour on single player and lost all xp bonuses.

BTW, have also noticed in single player that a lot of the time when you capture an objective, kill an enemy or do anything that usually (in multiplayer) awards XP it gives nothing apart from displaying a message like ' you got a multi kill blah blah' but no XP alongside the text.

Was some post on reddit or twitter yesterday where they confirmed it being unintended.
I'd give you a link but I only saw it from a YT video.

Ah rito. Good on you GobboKirk for the info.

Here's to hoping we are given a free XP boost when they fix it.

In multiplayer the xp boosters only count down the timer when in matches. Don't know about sp or co-op.

Well, that isn't as harsh as the booster ticking away during load screens but still, 1 hour seems a little stingy.

It also seems to work for the whole match, i got into a match with only 6 minutes worth of booster left and i got the boost until i finished the match (27 minutes) and got back to the main menu.

If everything in single-player yielded the same xp rewards as in multiplayer, that wouldn't be fair as you can easily farm hundreds of bots with 0 effort. In fact, why should that be rewarded in the first place?

It doesn't matter regardless because they don't sanction XP FARM servers anyway.

make your botts harder and you can mostly max level all your guns in BOT battles and for seccond comment ok i think its a good idea and i think its even a good idea that you cant grind skins in offline or bot maps why becouse battlefield is always been and ment to be PVP if you want those skins you have to play online

plus be happy you can grind your XP on guns for all attachments and all in this one as in all other ones it whas MP only if you want a CO OP Shooter game then this game is not for you and i dont even like this new battlefield that mutch but i just think BOTS where a stupit idea in first place

It was like that before, HOWEVER, this caused exp farming issues to where Dice had to change that aspect of the game.
Powaplaya27 Jun 9, 2023 @ 4:03pm
How excactly, does farming XP hurt anyone?
Powaplaya27 Jun 9, 2023 @ 4:12pm
I'll tell you why I think DICE reduced XP rewards in single/co-op.

It's to keep people playing their game longer as it is harder to earn XP in multiplayer compared to single player. The longer DICE keep a player on their game the more chance they have of selling battle pass ,skin packs etc.

Once a player maxes out their XP for a gun, operator etc they are like 'Ok,I have achieved everything - their is nothing left to grind for' right?

So instead of the developers going 'Hey, we have a portion of our customers that like single player and want to play that way,we can reward them equally and just make new maps and content each season to keep the grind going'. They seem to have taken a different approach which is ridiculous.
Ridiculous because have you looked to see how many skills, weapons etc their are to get the red badge for? Even in single player I doubt hardly ANYONE will ever max level every perk which makes reducing XP in single player a bad call as it reduces interest for the customer to play the game in a mode they have put in the game.

The issues it caused were leveling extremely fast, but yeah I completely agree. I'm not defending anything here obviously.
