Standard/Normal edition is fine. All the new maps, weapons and vehicles are free. (Just gotta play to unlock some stuff.) The dlc is just cosmetics.

Its just a very mediocre dumbed down battlefield game. I don't like to hate on games, but this game really felt flat on its face. I would not recommend it if you are looking for a replacement for bf4. I think bf4 is still 100 times better in every way except for the graphics. Probably even has more players aswel on pc.

If you are looking for a new battlefield game I think bf1 is best bang for your buck. Bf5 is also maybe worth it but its lacking a bit in content It only had 1 or 2 content drops and then got abandoned. You can also check out a recent released game called battle bit-remastered,
probably the closest we have atm that is a good old school battlefield game, except the its pixel art style.

I would pass or check it out on xbox-pc gamepass for a dollar, it lets you play for a month.

From a new player of this game that played the Beta: this game is pretty ass but at least it was heavily discounted so it's as much as some early access games.
