Last time what helped me was removing Future Frame Rendering , seeing as I can't even get to the in-game screen im just moving to Halo Infinite for a while.
This game has been running for 2 years now and it's running worse and worse , really the worst BF to date.
in nVIDIA Profile Inspector there's a 'Memory allocation' setting, it may help, I've tried it before in BF1 trying to get DX12 to run smoothly and the 'Aggresive' setting seemed to speed it up
Never tried this , can anyone test in bf2042 and say if it works ? :")

still virgin, though
But its the same history, crashes and crashes, even BSOD until it became stable by multiple trys.
[Halo Infinite] Significant performance drop is observed on Maxwell-based GPUs. [4052711]
[Battlefield 2042] Game stability can decrease when applying GeForce Experience Freestyle filters. [4170804]
This driver implements a fix for creative application stability issues seen during heavy memory usage. We’ve observed some situations where this fix has resulted in performance degradation when running Stable Diffusion and DaVinci Resolve. This will be addressed in an upcoming driver release. iif not using free style then its good
Youtube it.
There is no DDRram error cose it mentions dx12 so the vRam could be at fault or the controller.
Try to run Apex, there was an issue with that game to when gpu's tend to fail.
This error is specifically tied with BF 2042 atm , it is driver based and cache based with bf and it has been going on for months now.
I have a brand new rtx 4080 and have been running cyberpunk max settings day in and day out alongside Dead Island 2 and other new games , no issues , no errors , no high temps.
What fix ? Nobody reported any issues with this gpu let alone BIOS, this is bf 2042 related and nothing else.
