Yeah I keep having that issue. Amazes me how a company so rich can be so poor in actual management. This kind of stuff shouldn't even be legal to sell a product when stuff doesn't work and it requires a constant online connection.

You don't need Steam for these games, it is merely optional.
If you want no DRM there is GoG, pretty much it is a better option than any other app launcher.

Lol Yeah not unexpected from EA, I remember first using Origin, oh what a mess that was, took them years to make it somewhat decent, and I remember in BFV the overlay enabled, even though you aren't using it, acted like you were pressing W all the time.

Sad for a company with as much money as EA to consistently push out broken crap.
