Crash to desktop mid game

the game keeps on crashing to desktop mid game, framerate was good i didnt see any stutter, but before it crashes the game freeze for a couple seconds then crashed, already tried to verify game files, even tried to reinstall the game, rollback gpu driver, reinstall ea app, run both ea and 2042 on administrator, windows and gpu driver already updated to latest version

i5 11400f
ram 16gb 3200
rx6600xt hellhound

any other games works perfect with no crashes

Having the same issue...freezes for a couple seconds maybe ten then boom i get kicked out for no reason...

i think the servers have some network issues.

try uninstalling the piece of ♥♥♥♥ game and never playing again

Im not kicked out of server, the game crashed to desktop with no error

This doesnt seems like a game related issue. And there arent many games that requires this much system.
I do also crash sometimes with 4070 but it happends because i usualy forgot to turn my cpu cooler on when im playing bf42. It makes alot of noice so i usualy use my pc with out it.

at first i thought so too, but then i played other games installed on my pc and it works just fine, even i still have bfv installed and it works fine, other games is r6s, warzone, csgo, valorant, overwatch 2, division 2

im assuming this is bf2042 cache folder inside the documents folder right? doesnt work still crashing

I verified my files and it stopped happening. It said i was missing 12 files somehow...

Go into your event viewer and look for the time of crash to see what happened.

Try to navigate to the "EasyAntiCheat" folder inside of the game's installation folder and locate "EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe". Launch it as administrator and choose repair.

Additionally, if you are running a Windows Preview update, switch back to the live version of windows or update to Windows 11 Pro. Easy Anticheat is known to have conflicts with windows preview programs due to the constant shift in the OS.

This issue started happening for me today. I verified game files and reinstalled the game. Just another day at Dice, I guess.
