This is how the older Battlefields were and what people asked for!!! With this, you get the exact same issues you had in the previous Battlefields as well =)

I always wondered how the Class System was supposed to just instill people with the knowledge to take down vehicles but people kept arguing that "Now there's dedicated roles so people will select them"...
Streylok Feb 7, 2023 @ 12:50pm
Yeah honestly its mostly just people are too dumb to gang up against vehicles I see it every match people on my team ignore it and I'm one of the few launching rockets at them

hmm. i dont play 128 conquest because the map pool sucks but I have found jav to be extremely effective
picking liz is also powerful

There are alot of issues, but one of the bigger ones is that they took out V's vehicle balancing.

Ironically tanks are the most vulnerable vehicles in this game. they're big, slow, have barely any defensive capabilities, and get wrecked by helis or the stupid mine trick all the time.

The C-ram is the most "OP" land vehicle. Whoever made this thing should be fired. An armored jeep that can move fast like a scout vehicle, carry multiple weapons like a troop carrier, has both AT AND AA, AND has the armor of a tank to boot. Match that with healing capabilities. In hardcore mode this thing is a menace.

Most OP thing in the game tho are helicopters and it's mainly for 3 reasons

1. They have infinite heals/flares. Most heli pilots when getting hit by ground forces will just dip out to the edge of the map wait for their flares to reload and then go back in. rinse and repeat.

2. The stupid stealth mode that makes no sense. Basically a "you can't lock on to me but I can still lock on to you" cheat.

3. Helis are way too protected and way too nimble. The littlebird and stealth helis can fly fast enough to stay within range of a jet, It's near impossible to snipe the pilots, and they took away soldier-mounted lmgs from harming helis.
That's the biggest thing. They should allow hand held lmgs to damage helis with armor piercing.

Heli's are the worst thing in this game right now. If anything needs an immediate rework, it's them.

C-RAM requires at least 2-3 hits to kill single infantry

1. remember we are playing also against other vehicles. we need that cuz otherwise vehicles are useless
2. Stealth mode only has bombs wich are effective against infantry and sometimes vehicles. Still they have long recharge time + main cannon with rockets is more useful than these stupid bombs
3. Stealth Heli is made out of paper at the moment. Little Bird is only good against infantry and light armored vehicles. Attack Heli is only good against heavy armored vehicles. remember that most of these are one hit to lis rocket and javelin or 2 hit to lock ons.

Youre just delusional, vehicles arent overpowered in this game

i don't have issue with the vesicles but the rocket launchers should have 5 to 6 rounds

2-3 hits is nothing with a quick-firing cannon, And it kills in 1 on hardcore mode.

1.Wrong, The vehicle carries a heavier armament then a wildcat, yet it's faster and more armored which makes no logical sense.
2.I've seen stealth helis lock-on and fire their secondary cannon while in stealth mode.
3."Made out of paper" means nothing when the heli is so nimble and easy to operate that you can zip out of a wildcats line of fire in an instant and heal. It's the same formula all stealth/scout heli pilots do. Fly in, zoom around, spam rockets/bombs, Dip out the moment you take any damage, repair, rinse, repeat.

You're just delusional, The emptiness of this forum shows just how little ppl are enjoying this game, But those who do comment on it usually agree that helis are the most OP things in the game right now. I wouldn't be surprised if you're a heli user yourself, typically the only ppl who defend OP things are those who love milking them as a crutch or those who know someone who does.

Vehicles are supposed to dominate.
They are supposed to be hard to take down... that's literally their entire purpose.

Infantry can spawn in seconds, all over the map. Vehicles have to wait minutes to respawn, and that's IF you get it back. Then you have to drive back from the ass crack of the map.
If they die as fast as infantry, what's the point of getting one?

This is supposed to be a squad based game, not 64 Rambo's running around as one man armies. If you're getting razzled by a tank, switch to engineer with some squadies and try to take it out.

This is the way of Battlefield. Embrace it, instead of trying to turn this into CoD.

There's a different between balance and "dominating"
Like when one engineer spawns in with only 3 missiles while a vehicle has infinite heal.

V had a lot of problems, but the vehicle balancing in 1 and V were the best there's been in battlefield.

One person was never intended to take out a tank unless they get lucky.

How would one infantry taking out a tank be balanced?

Yes, you could always do it in BF, but it was a high risk, high reward scenario. Usually involving a suicide run with C4 or AT mines.

One person should never be able to take out a tank while safely in cover. Like i said above, if a vehicle can die just as easy to one person as a soldier of foot, what's the point of them?

Do you know why they only allow 2 tanks on the map?
It's because when one shows up, it's supposed to be a big deal.
It's supposed to be a "Oh $hit" moment for infantry.

I distinctly remember in previous BF games, hiding for my life and yelling at my friends to respawn on me and bring AT, i need help with a tank!
You know... squad based teamwork.

In this game you roll up to a point in a tank and half a dozen guys charge you like roaches on a dropped sandwich, while 16 rockets fly in from every direction. You're lucky if you can get off one round before having to run for your life.

Tanks are the most accurately balanced vehicles in this game, which also makes them the weakest vehicles in this game ironically. I have solo'ed many tanks. What really sucks is the Heros & generals tactic of throwing a mine under a tank and then shooting it seems to have migrated over to 2042 with the latest patch.
Tanks have almost no countermeasures in-game and they get obliverated by scout/stealth helis that just fly in a circle around them spamming rockets. You could be hammering away at the cocpit but your axl gun won't kill the heli before they can kill you with rockets. Not to mention you should be able to shoot the pilot out that way but very, rarely can you. Out of all the cocpit shots I've made, only once have I scored a kill and that was in a jet shooting another jet's cocpit.

Fighting tanks in other battlefields solo was easy as long as you had covered. It's especially easy in 1 and V where you can actually disable parts of tanks depending on where you shoot them. Granted I play hardcore because core mode is a mess but, The only thing that stops a skilled engineer from killing a tank solo is rocket count.
Ever heard of C5 and Anti-tank mines? Oh and btw if you bother to put in the time and effort to get gud at lis' TGMs, you will quickly realize how vulnerable these nutsack pilots are, and I am referring to both jet and heli pilots.

At least for tanks its very easy to kill. Plus thier movement (picking up speed, going foward to backwards) is way slower than previous battlefield games.

For helis is you don't have a brain dead team they shouldn't be an issue unless the pilot itself is very good.

The M5 recoilles is trash way too slow velocity. We should get a proper rocket launcher like modern rpg 7 or smaw. They are way more fun to use.

I never asked for this (Adam Jensen voice)

Honestly I love the way it was handled in BF3 where precise perpendicular hits on the side and the back of a tank meant one shot disable. On the other hand even the slightest angle meant you can shoot all your rockets and still not kill the tank.

set up a squad of 3 jav users and 1 angel for support, no vehicle will ever be seen again
