Worth it for single player or coop?

They didn't make a single player for this game. And I doubt they've added one since launch.

Does the portal have progression? like playing in portal feels like playing online without real player? Weapons progression etc?

Portal won't work for you cuz any kill with a weapon/vehicle etc won't count towards any progression. You still get player XP in portal so you can level up and some guns are tied behind level but you cannot unlock attachments there.

There is regular solo/coop vs bots that allowed the things portal restricts (xp is still capped and ribbons are MP only) however you cannot customize the match and must play default.

The bots are basic. Difficulty affects how accurate their aim bot is. Is it worth it? eh. If you've nothing better to play then i'd say go for it but its not a great single player experience. Too bare bones for that. Game is MP focused.

there is bots with 3 difficulty levels. you can play conquest and breakthrough all maps. there is xp progression

Portal lets you tweak match settings with bots. I like making 500 ticket 4 player co-op while outnumbered against moronic hordes of a.i. Being able to play Noshar Canals with bots is incredible. You can play 'breakthrough' and 'conquest' and unlock gun/vehicle attachments as well. I never play against people in this. I'm so thrilled they put a 1 hit kill throwing knife in this. Battlefield hasn't had bots in a decade and its the only reason I bought this game.

How does almost everyone here miss that you can play all the regular game modes with bots as well and level your guns in those modes?

there is just bot matches, but they are nothing special, although you CAN grab some unlocks that way easily.

Do not buy this expecting proper Solo or Co-op. XP is restricted with Bots in Portal, for some reason and Co-op XP is also restricted.

Get Battlefront II if you want a decent sp campaign, with Battlefield feeling.

Yes, it's worth it. I'm level 28 and haven't played Online Multiplayer yet. Great way to learn maps or overall handling.

The Solo Mode would be perfect with some more options like max players 16v16, optional vehicles (Infantery only).

I was expecting i can level up playing with bots. Get new weapon attachments , unlock weapons. But I understand we can’t playing with bots. Or im wrong? Not really planning playing with people online

You CAN level up and you CAN unlock most attachments.
Ingnore what people claim here.

You just will have a hard time with the battlepass and the final attachments.
