Cleaned it out and will see if the same pattern happens later tonight.

Try deleting your DirectX cache too.
Start menu -> type "run" and open the run command.
Paste this in.
Select all of the files within and delete them.
You may notice a few files are unable to be deleted because they're in use and that's fine, Those are safe to ignore.
Then boot into BF2042 again.
I tried to do both and now I can't even get past the "new patch" notification. Game freezes to death when interacting with it. Doesn't matter, if it is "read more" or "dismiss"
Shows Desktop window manager in task manager with high gpu usage. Super odd cause it only became a problem when i downloaded graphics drivers and only crashes on BF2042 and Warzone. I can play new world surprisingly but its gotta be a softeware issue imo.
Delete the 2042 config files again, I did the above and I was able to boot into 2042 at 4K and it was pretty smooth on the intro/tutorial section.
Thing is, it doesn't work on either my NVidia card, nor my AMD card. The newest NVidia driver may not be the best, yet even under a previous version the game doesn't work
Still no luck, sorry
