Also, deleted the cache in documents. That boosted it to 85 but still not clearing 100.
And why?
Yeah. I have made sure nothing is set to "cap" or limit fps. Also made sure that I am not using intergrated graphics, made sure the game is registering global settings and not using it's own settings. (in global everything is set properly as to not limit fps or hinder gaming)
This problem seems to be a bit wide spread after the newest update. Howver, i am new to this game and want to make sure that i check everything before i can 100% blame the game itself.
I am guessing either A) i am missing the smallest setting (can't imagine what, but i have seen stranger things happen) or B) the game is to blame. So either i have to wait for a fix, or it is going to be someone who has had this exact problem and has stumbled upon the fix.
No. Nothing like that.
i get it few time , even i've a 144hz screen , on game i was cap 60fps
to fix it , change in game your fps to other setting , apply , and go back to your original fps
the bug display the wrong setting
No luck
Coming from i9 9900k 2070s zotac boosted 32gb ram getting 60-120 FPS on high
If you are using a 8c16 thread you can make a user cfg to make use of 8c/12t only if game using 8c8t for a little boost
The best thing to use would be g sync so the FPS keeps with refresh rate
Also steam FPS counter has issues getting direct polling
Try using alt + r to bring up nvidia graph with a better FPS read
And or try without dlss if using, for me it makes game run terrible in my situation,
Not sure what you mean. I understand it wont always stay at 160, but reaching 160 is the problem.
I just set mine to 239.760 HZ for the frequency and, and resolution to 1920x1080, granted my rig (Ryzen 2700X @ 4ghz, rtx 2070) can't actually pull that whole frame rate in THIS game, but I was averaging about 70 today on low. In Battlefield 4 it can sometimes reach 180 ish (on Max). I have not set anything unique for Battlefield 2042, so it should be using global settings. I suspect the game has something trying to hover around 60 fps....because shouldn't I get more than high 60s or 70 ish on low for this game?
Also if you like the higher frame rate stuff I suggest you also explore higher bit depth and sample rate for digital audio, think you might get a kick out of that too.
As for your situation..............I don't know..........So with shadow play FPS overlay it looks like the game is staying right at 60 hz though your monitor is set to 165 in Windows??? You might wanna try all the games you have and see if you are limited in them too..............perhaps try older stuff like Quake 3 or Counter Strike that your rig will run with ease.
