People paid extra money for this battlepass, yet almost half of it is free and the other part isn't really impressive to be paid for. It's one big lackluster just like the game itself.
So they charge for a Battlepass that you can skip and we don't need to pay for Expansion pack to get the whole game.
I'd say that is a win.
Instead we got an awful mix of things when all decent cosmetics are also free and paid ones are mediocre at best.
EA did their thing once again, charged people for extra money and provided nothing worthwhile.
Yeah, slightly miss read that ...
I agree, additional $20 buck after paying gold/ultimate is disgusting when half is free. Yet, i really don't think EA really cares at this point. They got their money and Dice is working on another game. I agree the battle passes should be fixed as to what is in them, and that content is more tightly held to the passes.
EA and Dice really lost the steam needed to keep this game in the spot light at least positive light. At this point, it looks as if they don't even know or want to care what is attached to battle pass for 2042. They clearly don’t care to anymore to how it seems to treat the gold/ultimate buyers. The next question is, will this carelessness carry over to the next BF game rumored in development?.
It's like you missed the part where we don't need to pay another $60 to get all of the expansions because those will be free. Which is easily the best part.
It's what I care about. Some skins? Like I care about that.
Instead of DICE charging us $60 for Premium or releasing 5 Expansion packs costing about $15 each, they opted in to do a Seasonpass that only contain exclusive cosmetics. So that the playerbase will not be split up.
This mean you just have to buy the base game to get ALL of the gameplay content.
They did this since BF5 or Battlefront 2.
People keep saying how EA is so greedy but they let DICE do this instead.
Honestly, I don't care about the season pass at all. If you want those exclusive skins, by all means buy it.
People paid extra to get something worthwhile but in reality most of those paid things are mediocre or simply bad while free part of the season contains good or decent stuff.
How is that fair and balanced?
Still have to say the same things:
1. The majority and I mean THE majority of so-called premium rewards are trash and feel like those have been added right before the season went live.
2. Because of the first statement, all of rewards besides weapons and vehicles have to be premium to make at at least a bit more desired.
3. For such low effort rewards the battlepass is way too grindy and it will take forever to complete for those who do not have all the free time to play this mediocre game.
I bet Dice hasn't even tested things or even give a proper thought. Just mixed a bunch of randon things together and released it that way.
