Joysticks?
Are we able to use joysticks? If not, then when?

Or, were we all along? I'm not much of an expert or one who knows such stuffs...

Doubt there would be official support, most don't use them for this type of game and so far they keep messing up being able to keybind at all.

If you want a work around maybe something like WoJ (World of joysticks) but not sure if it still exists website seems to be down.
Joy2Key might work but I think it's more for controllers despite the name (could be wrong on that).

I hadn't played this game in months before today due in large part to the lack of joystick support. To my surprise, the developers HAVE ADDED JOYSTICK SUPPORT! When this happened, I'm not sure, but JOYSTICK is now listed as a controller and I mapped my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro buttons and flew a chopper in BF2042 Portal using the joystick this morning. LONG OVERDUE!

They did add joystick support recently. I just need to find out how to inverse pitch. I used a 3D Extreme Pro.

I was pleasantly surprised at this too. Was your pitch inverted?

Yes, pitch is weird (appears to be inverted) by default. You need to map the pitch of the stick opposite to what is normal (i.e. forward to raise the chopper's nose when mapping) so that in game it does the opposite (i.e. pull back on the stick and the chopper's nose rises).
