No , Battlefield 2042 use this shader cache.
When you delete them, battlefield 2042 make new ones.

Sorry to dig this out but I have been trying to a find a solution, I use OneDrive and the thing is this kept backing up in my OneDrive since I actually use the "Documents" Folder, I just deleted over 3,200 files uploaded because of this cache, I have never deleted this cache before btw.

Dont USE ONEDRIVE this is a KNOW issue with the CACHE Folder in documents if you use OneDrive disable it or if you dont want to just Disable the Folder to be stored by onedrive Using OneDrive will cause problems in the Game while playing different maps since it conflicts and you dont need them. If you cant stop getting visual bugs after disabling OneDrive for that folder just delete the Cache and Fill them up 1 last time by playing the different maps. Its normal to get stutters and bugs in the first times you play a new map. After 3 times of playing a set map you shouldnt explerience any more problems!:praisesun:

Because Dice is incompetent and that's the only way they found to do that.

Game files aren't in the documents folder. They are were you installed the game.
The files that are in the documents folder are user settings, cache and logs.

Pretty dumb that the cache is in Document folder to begin with.

with the new OS windows , all exchange date 're on document folder , dev avoid some troubleshooting with permission folder read/write/acess : other directory folder need often adminsistrator access permission .. mostly all time , documents public , document user haing less security access on it :)

old time , all cache , profile data , user data were on a sub folder of the game install
