I contacted steam support directly and opened up a help ticket gave a description of why the game was bad and could not play it got through to a human and they gave me a refund as a customer service gesture to my steam credit. i think the standard refund process has a bot that shuts down refunds outside of their policy. so if some of you are struggling i suggest opening a standard help ticket to steam support directly.

Yes that was your first refund on that account that was outside of the 2 hr limit. That was the only reason it was refunded to you.

i played below the 2 hours mark however i pre-ordered in september

I've only ever refunded one game that was within the 2 hour/14 day window and yet after 5 attempts I can't get them to refund 2042 for me with <5 hours.

Hmm then i guess the one time refund under any circumstances only applies to first refund on your account

It's more of a customer service lottery where if you get the right customer service agent you win a refund.

in addition , they count in how many license purchased , how often you refund in the past , and on what timeframe . in addition since no mans sky , every account has 1 free refund no questions asked , so i assume some ppl which got it refunded unknowingly used that.
