Some people have barely play/know any other BF title, just came here to put names in lol.
BF2042 is the best. Surely people know what they talking about. I hope. The Portal is way better than BF2042 the game itself

I played every single BF ever made , + consoles exclusive like BF2 Modern combat , and Battlefield Bad company 1 wich was not on PC . And i can say that indeed BF2042 is the best battlefield , Both core game and Portal AKA nostalgia trip /mods side game .

The BF4 or BF3 kids hating on BF2042 have no ideas what past BF have done .
in BF2 we had 7 classes there was no such thing as an Engineer with Rockets and repair kit . Engineer had SMG and repairkit and only Demolition had rocket , Specs ops had C4 and so on and BF2 MC medics had LMG and healing guns similar to Falk and also a motar barage device lol ...

Classes have changed from BF to BF in the most arbitrary way possible and 2042 finally resolve this non sens ..

Those whining about BF2042 not having enough teamwork because X and Y kids choose the assault classes and only use auto injector and so on ?

BF2 also had Specs ops , Assault classes wich were the most popular and were only farming kills it was their " Roles "

in BFBC1 the assault also had self injecting meds , a AR and a Grenade launcher capable of opening walls with the new destruction system back then

In terms of fun I had playing, not really whats "best" -

BF2, BF4 (with all DLC and patches), bf 2142, bf 2042, bf5, bf1 (didnt play the others)

Yes! Why TF Battelfield cannot find the sweetness of BF2 in an updated package is inexcusably dumbfounding. It's completely laughable at this point and will likely never happen.

Fair enough if you think 2042 is the best one, but don't you think if anything it's a bit soon to judge BF2042 to go as far as to say it's the best one? The lack of new maps aside, imagine judging BF4 just as it came out, it's an inaccurate picture, an unknown. From my perspective they have their work cut out for themselves though.
For me it's:
1. BF2
2. BF3 that's a toss up though, loved them both.
3. BF4
4. BFBC2
5. BF5

I'll wait and see if 2042 can cut the mustard.

at least Battlefield 1 and 5 have a Battlefield ID.
Battlefield 2042 is not Battlefield and this is not the identity of Battlefield.
It reminded me of Battlefield Hardline

I'm not saying Battlefield 1 and 5 are better, they're definitely bad, but not as bad as Battlefield 2042.

My favorite is Battlefield 4.

Maybe Dice wants to please COD fans or something i don't know. but sure don't want to please the old Battlefield fans.

Anyway, it's the worst Battlefield version ever
