I'm really interested on what the BF2042 fans (those that say this game is pretty good) have to say in their defense. The review is pretty brutal, objective and conclusive on the state and quality of this game...

well for one, you didn't need to buy bf2042 to try it out, it was free in beta for a while at 140k peak remember.
you could pay 4.99 to try it out for 10 hours also adding to peak hours, never having to buy it at all.
its also on xbox gamepass right now, 1 dollar nets you 10 hours play.
so its really not right to compare the two at all because more people may be playing on origin than steam.

what i am saying is they have a similar problem of player counts being funneled off of them.
halos free peak is 270k.
bf's free peak is 140k technically.
halo still lost on average more players.

I show BF 2042 Beta on Steam had 156k peak so that would make the percentage an 82% drop compared to Halo's 50% drop.

Most established franchises have nowhere to go but down from launch. GTA V had 360k at launch and 100k peak a month later.

I don't really agree with vehicles being OP. If vehicles are dominating, that means players are not playing as AT or AA. It is a player issue, not a map or vehicle issue.

That is not what Joe is saying on the review. His point is that is any squad can just spawn random vehicles in spawn points, without any criteria for that vehicle to exist, having AT and AA is irrelevant, because you destroy the vehicle and 2 secs later another one is re-spawned. So you'll have to deal with endless waves of vehicles even if your team is all AT and AA, which leads to every map feeling like a Michael Bay movie with way too much chaos to make any sense.

That sounds like a positive for me. Vehicles respawning constantly allows people to try out vehicles even if they don't gun for it to often or play them to frequently. Put a timer on vehicles, people will obviously get less time with them. And chaos is fun. I love how things completely get out of control. Its certainly it's own atmosphere.

The thing is a battlefield launch being in a broken state has been a continuous issue since around 2010 to today. If your expecting anything more than broken, you're leaving yourself disappointed.

Regardless your opinion is your own. Just because some youtuber who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about ♥♥♥♥ that everybody expects isn't go to validate your opinion more than it already is.

Anyone who defends this game saying that only some loud minority is complaining, take a look at the Guru3d article that just came out saying that this game has lost over 70% of its players within two weeks. HAHA, just the vocal minority...

To sum up the review which was COMPLETELY BASED ON PRE-PATCH BF2042 All- Out-Warfare:

The UI is trash and whoever made it should be a janitor

The vehicles are over-powered and have no counter when you include the call-in system which is stupidly overused to abuse the objectives in Breakthrough

The customization is a downgrade from previous titles, everyone looks the same and the sides have no identity

The weapons have no life, they sound and feel terrible! Everyone is either using the PP-29 or the DMR

Squad system was inferior to previous titles, there is no ability to manage a squad with friends like kicking random or make a squad private. You cannot switch squads or make new ones. Squad lead will be pulled away from you at random, game will auto add new players to the squad.

They all rated AoW a 4/10 for an average.

To sum up the review which was COMPLETELY BASED ON PRE-PATCH BF2042 Hazard Zone:

They would have been happier if they just brought back Firestorm.
Compared it to Hunt: Showdown and how it lacks identity and the fluidity that was expected

Stated that it would be better if they had more competent people behind the mode.

All the reviewers did not like the mode at all, called it a tacked on mode to make up for no campaign

Progression was basically non-existent, lacks any amount of rewarding factors to complete the same task over and over again

Reused maps from multiplayer that were simply too big for MP and even bigger for HZ.

Credit system is used to suffice the lack of content in the game. No new weapons specific to the mode and the mode is super unfinished

They all rated it without any hesitation a 2/10

To sum up the review which was COMPLETELY BASED ON PRE-PATCH BF2042 Portal:

Liked the mode, based on the older content from previous games.

Liked the ability to make own rules, fixes any and all harps about the base game

Vehicles aren't as strong as AoW

Says the mode is setback by it being in Battlefield 2042 (No scoreboard, bad UI. hard to join people)

Best part of the entire game: had more fun because of how simplistic and rewarding the previous titles were with maps and weapons

Enjoyed being able to set-up a free server; was able to play with fans with custom settings and enjoyed that fact

Classes really helped with this part of the game; enticed better gameplay and a more balanced flow

Did not like that there was only 2 maps for each era of older Battlefield titles

Tons of BOT servers; not allowing for them to make a server; discussed how it was being used to circumvent the slow and unrewarding progression system

Hopes they continue Portal as they further development

Despite all the pros, they all rated it 4/10

Overall: They warn people to not purchase this game. It was a below average release and to ask for $90-$110 for Early Access was steep.

But the way he presented his review, shouting and cursing whatever he wants just because he can, makes he looks immature as hell. And can lose some credibility because of this.

Thats why i dont like him. He may be right & honest, but with that attitude? Id rather watch some other honest reviewers.

constructive? he like most youtube plebs use everyone complaints as their own. so they look at forums, write down all the complaints then feed you them via an easy to digest humorous( subjective) video.
you don't need people to feed you your opinion, you can make your own. its possible.

Mainly the lack of maps, uninteresting maps, vehicle and weapon balance, specialists instead of dedicated classes, lack of variety, launch state, horrible UI and slow progression are some points he discusses.
