hmmm, where you connecting from? I notice that between around 3am-9am (western L.A./vancouver) they are hard to connect to, and if I do manage to connect between these times its like 50% bot......Hey Dice, just have the game's start even with 80%+ bots during those hours.....I have a feeling you arn't quite monitoring enough player wait time to join games that are still requiring more "players to join"....seems like people get in, wait about 5 minutes, then bailout....which makes it so the game never start. I agree you shouldnt start brand new game with bot majority, but just have the games start that hour of the night if like like over half you playerbase for a region is starting the game, trying to find a non-portal game, then quiting out on the game when cant find game....I'd set it as for US official servers(breakthrough-conquest-64-128. Eastern time region - startgame when at least 1-10 players present on each team)....I like the games where majority bot, for some reason the games run so much smoother despite the A.I. being calculated, is A.I. being calculated somewhere else beside host server or our pc's? what gives?

They need to just have 128 player mode have like 20% bots or so for time being, as for whatever reason game runs so much smoother with like 100 active playuers instead of 128...maybe a 50v50 mode for time being? This will get rid of most critisizm as those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about performance with 128 active players will have much smoother experience with like 90 or 100 active players. They need to stop listening from feedback from steam users who have barely played battlefield games and demand refund. Please DICE more maps, more unlocks, more vehicles.....also have unlocks for portal modes like 1942 vehicles...including bf3 was silly....you should have just included half of bf5 ♥♥♥♥ with portal instead of 1942 stuff.....Nobody taking advantage of it, you would be suprised how many more people play ♥♥♥♥ with unlock progression crap! Just include some bf5 ♥♥♥♥ with 1942 portal ♥♥♥♥, promote one super 128 player ww2 match thing with special unlocks or something.

All the upcoming content and seasons have been drastically delayed if they ever even come out at all. It took them 4 months to release a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken scoreboard. No the game will never pick back up. Once EA/Dice releases the minimum content so that they can't get sued plug is getting pulled.

The game is dead in Asia. The game urgently ends a server browser as I cannot connect to a German server without a vpn.

I believe you are getting your player count from Steam charts, if that is the case you are incorrect on your assumptions.

The data collected is a general data from servers that are not regional. This means although 2,000 might be playing that is "dispersed data" shared by servers in different regions. In general means that PAN, EU, NA are counted in total. So a player in PAN can be in the server alone and that would count as one of the 2,000 players. Does not mean those players are finding games they can be waiting in the server for a game.

The OP does not mention what servers region they are trying to connect to. That is important information !,

I've stopped playing because games will now start if the server is about half full, 32v32. Sometimes players fill in later on in the game and others it just goes down to like 24v24. I used to support this game because I genuinely had fun in it for awhile but the lack of communication, updates, and content is beyond unacceptable. What really put the nail in the coffin for me was the insignificant update they just released with little to no changes besides a scoreboard. BF3 and 4 had DLCs out 1-2 months after their release date in October while yet with this garbage we've been getting a new skin or charm every week as part of a challenge. I redownloaded BF1 on origin and have been having a lot of fun with it, and with a lot of hours put into 2042 I truly forgot what makes a great Battlefield game. At this point I don't believe this current dev team can come back from this. And I'm starting to think that they believe the same.

2000 only includes those launching through steam, which is only 20% of the userbase.
some regions do report being pretty dead, but it's safe to assume most of these are lying. because

Case of mine just now, i forgot that I tried to disable cross platform, and went all day to 1/128 or 2/128 players when lucky. CANT believe no single PC gamer is playing right now. Once enabled I can enter like normally. Hope it helps anyone.
