2042 = pin the tail on the hardware or spin the fps wheel
i was running it on a 1070ti @ 1080 low, 65-70+fps, server depending, with the odd glitching (no frame drop)
yet others have a 3090 and say it runs like crap.
now im on a 3060ti, 80-100+fps @ 1440 medium
am i just lucky? or is it the R9 5900X doing all the work?
it feels like they optimised the games for older gpus and not newer ones lol
Laptop GPUs have two problems. First if you are running off battery vs plugged in you might be getting put into a power save mode whether you want to be or not. Second laptop GPUs are usually downgraded version. In the case of the 3060 the mobile version isn't that much worse than the desktop version, but it is a bit of a drop. With BF2042 the min/recommended specs are dishonest though. The recommended should be a 3090. Having the min listed as a 1050? Good luck to anyone trying that.
A 3060 should not be performing the same as a 1060 maxq (laptop)
Here is someone playing it on the 1060maxq

6900 XT, i7-12700k, 32 gigs of ram, 1440p, ultra settings.
Just got done playing the roulette gamemode and, even on a smaller map with only 20~ players, I averaged 95 FPS.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
Windows 11 Pro
R9 5950x
ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3080 OC (PCI-E 4.0)
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32 GB DDR4 3800 MHZ (it's a 4 GHZ Kit running @ 3,8 GHZ)
Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 1TB NVMe (PCI-E 4.0)
I also tested it on my laptop in 1080p i only had like 50-60 FPS average with lowest settings. It's not fun to play it with that.
Windows 11 Home, MSI GL63 9SFK-1001DE (39,6 cm/15,6 Inch/144Hz) Gaming-Laptop i7-9750H, 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHZ RAM, 512 GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070.
also, been a while since i had an asus laptop but when i did it had settings to where you could set applications to use the dedicated graphics or the CPU graphics so i guess just make sure if you have that option that you are running BF on the dedicated gpu.
