Dreadful FPS even having over the reccomended specs?
RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 9 5900hx getting about 50-60fps in 32v32 and about 30-40 in 64v64???? Lowest graphics 1080p

Yup same and I exceed recommended on everything except the GPU which, let's face it, is almost a 1:1 of the recommended GPU for this game.

My specs are :
I7 9700k
32gb ram
RTX 2080ti FE.
Win11.

According to this site ( https://hwbench.com/vgas/geforce-rtx-3060-vs-geforce-rtx-2080-ti ) the 2080ti actually has better gaming performance than the 3060 ( which is the recommended gpu for 2042 ) and even with these specs I can only squeeze a good 60fps or so on low.

This was why dice stated before Christmas that optimisation will take longer as they don't know why the game is running so poorly on hardware that is clearly beyond the recommended spec.

Let's hope the optimisation patches start buffing the performance issues significantly.

2042 = pin the tail on the hardware or spin the fps wheel

i was running it on a 1070ti @ 1080 low, 65-70+fps, server depending, with the odd glitching (no frame drop)

yet others have a 3090 and say it runs like crap.:dirtytp:

now im on a 3060ti, 80-100+fps @ 1440 medium

am i just lucky? or is it the R9 5900X doing all the work? :surprised_yeti:

see, my mate has a gtx 1660ti and gets 90fps??
it feels like they optimised the games for older gpus and not newer ones lol

I was reading that your using a Laptop, the recommended specs means Desktop hardware

do u think it can make that much of a difference?
I'm not sure what the difference is, electronics is so complicated, but 6GB of VRAM is enough because @ 1080p I use is 5.2GB VRAM max

Laptop GPUs have two problems. First if you are running off battery vs plugged in you might be getting put into a power save mode whether you want to be or not. Second laptop GPUs are usually downgraded version. In the case of the 3060 the mobile version isn't that much worse than the desktop version, but it is a bit of a drop. With BF2042 the min/recommended specs are dishonest though. The recommended should be a 3090. Having the min listed as a 1050? Good luck to anyone trying that.

you must be doing something wrong, shouldn't be running like that on that rig :trainbowbarf:

What makes no sense is i got the same frame rates on a 1060 maxq in a laptop during the open beta. It was playable on that test setup but....

A 3060 should not be performing the same as a 1060 maxq (laptop)

Here is someone playing it on the 1060maxq

Welcome to the club.

6900 XT, i7-12700k, 32 gigs of ram, 1440p, ultra settings.

Just got done playing the roulette gamemode and, even on a smaller map with only 20~ players, I averaged 95 FPS.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

like already mentioned, is your Windows power plan using a power saving mode
Mexicola9302 13/fev./2022 às 16:57
Game works fine for me 70-110 FPS in Conquest 64 vs 64 mode. Ultra Settings downsampled to 1440p no Raytracing. It's average 90 FPS.

Windows 11 Pro
R9 5950x
ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3080 OC (PCI-E 4.0)
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32 GB DDR4 3800 MHZ (it's a 4 GHZ Kit running @ 3,8 GHZ)
Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 1TB NVMe (PCI-E 4.0)

I also tested it on my laptop in 1080p i only had like 50-60 FPS average with lowest settings. It's not fun to play it with that.

Windows 11 Home, MSI GL63 9SFK-1001DE (39,6 cm/15,6 Inch/144Hz) Gaming-Laptop i7-9750H, 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHZ RAM, 512 GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070.

maybe your laptop has poor cooling or poor thermal paste application. try run hwinfo64 during your gaming and monitor temps, see what the hardware is doing.
also, been a while since i had an asus laptop but when i did it had settings to where you could set applications to use the dedicated graphics or the CPU graphics so i guess just make sure if you have that option that you are running BF on the dedicated gpu.

I get 60 fps with my 3 year old ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop, 15.6” 120hz Full HD IPS-Type, AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD, Gigabit WiFi 5, Windows 10 Home, TUF505DU-EB74 Try following this guys advice on you vid setting in game . If that doesn't work try lowering you resolution below 1080p. You won't see much of a difference in vid quality but your fps will definitely go up.

For me the latest patch broke stuff again, my 60-100 fps is now 45-90 fps for whatever reason lol
