question about dedicated servers for 2042

hi , i have actually a server , a little xeon with all you need and 2gb fiber internet etc... at home... well , i usually host conan exile server or other ♥♥♥♥ like this , i wanted to know if i'll be able to host a dedicated server in BF2042 with some retarded things from BF "portal" or will it be EA servers locked or something i don't know about... ty

Nope, there will not be any server software.

There will be community games ( same as bfv ) where you can host a custom configuration and select modes and such.

No idea yet about actual rental servers ( where you pay a hosting company ).

ah ♥♥♥♥ this is crap , i don't want to pay for a server rental when i already have a server at home, this is retarded , now me and my clan, ( we want to have complete controle of our server with someone who can do something if there a problem 24/7 ... ) may not even think about playing this BF its a shame :/

Damn, that's a shame. I was hoping for dedicated servers software so much.
My friends and me already have several dedicated servers, and we were hoping to setup a few servers with our wanted configs.
Well, we'll hold on the game, maybe they'll release it afterwards.

They also implied skill based matchmaking! So i imagine it being like apex where you can either join with a squad from friendslist or join randoms in a random server with comparable kd.

since my post got deleted , i made a petition on change-org for BF2042 dedicated servers , i can't link it here but look for it , i don't think it'll do much but cost nothing to try

Dice has no interest in a dedicated player base anymore. The money they save giving a ♥♥♥♥ they spent on marketing with higher reward.
They even got so cocky they started antagonizing the community because of BFV.
Bad sale numbers are also not a concern anymore as they are basically selling a remoded version of StarWarsBF each game.

Look at the gameplay trailers and try to distinguish the sides. They didn´t make almost the entire screen full of green and red markers for no reason. (im seriuos look it up it takes almost half of the screen only with markers)
