Having the same problem. Hoping it gets fixed soon!

I am sorry, I didn't see the alert for new comments here.
Open the boot.txt and take a look at the GameDataPath. It should lead to your SteamApps ordner. e.g. yourinstallationorder\Steam\SteamApps\common\Petz Horsez 2\Petz Horsez 2

Hey I found a solution - to at least one of the propbelms! I did what Maé told there but it still kept saying about missing files, but you still might to that aswell.

Here's what I did:
The debug alert said something about missing file called Game_Circuits.txt. I then started looking into that and realized the whole folder for Saves was missing. I ran a search and actually found the Saves folder, for some reason Steam just created another Petz Horsez 2 folder under the main folder (so the path looked like ...SteamApps/common/Petz Horsez 2/Petz Horsez 2) and THAT'S where the missing files folder is! I moved the Saves folder to the first Petz Horsez 2 folder and hey, now it's running! I think you can also delete the empty folder that's left there because you don't really need it anymore.

Let me know if this helped you as well!

///EDIT: Actually this worked on Windows Vista which I have on my old laptop, but when I tried the same with my PC with Windows 7, nothing seemed to help so I can't still play this on this computer. (I don't like Vista but that's pretty much the only reason to keep it on my laptop, at least I can play some older games with _something.)

I have never been able to get this to launch. I was never offered a refund or anything on it. I have tried everything.

I am happy that I could help you :-)
Maybe I will write some tiny patch for it when I got the time, for excercising purposes, as I haven't yet done such thing. Feel free to remind me sometime ;-D

Had the same problem, and managed to get the game running on Windows 8 with combination of Maé's and Madness' suggestions. Thanks a lot guys!

This is happening to me. I have no idea where to find anything mentioned in the above advice :(
Maé Apr 28, 2019 @ 1:14am
You are actually looking for the subpath \Steam\SteamApps\common . We cannot tell you where that is located on your machine. You can find it by using the search box of the File Explorer. Type in "steamapps". rather unlikely you have two of this directories on your machine.
