Cannot change settings on startup screen
When launching, the settings launcher comes up as usual, giving me the option to change settings before launching the actual client. After I set my refresh rate to 144gz, I experienced audio bugs, where the game cinematics would speed up faster than the audio. I read that a fix would be to just play the game at 60gz, so I quit the game and relaunched to bring me to the settings launcher again. This time, however, I cannot change my refresh rate, and the resolution scrolldown menu is blank. This means I can't change the refresh rate OR the resolution! I need help fixing this, has anyone fixed this?

same here.....
Same here... I get flashing Hud and subtitle visuals, and these weird white flashes in the middle fo the screen. I thougght the same thing because I set it to 75gz but now it's complety blank. As is resoloution. I tried everything. Restarting game after playing problem still perists. Verifing game cache... 100% verified problem still persisted. Deleting and reinstalling local content... did problem persists. What gives?
I got the same problem, but i find a fix that really worked for me; just go to the beyond good and evil folder and search for the SettingsApplication.exe there you can fix your resolution problems, as this its a old game i recomend to leave it at 800x600 to avoid texture problems and visual bugs. Also to fix the flashing flickering hud you have to uncheck Hw vertex processing, Multi vertex stream and W buffer in the compatibility box in the advanced configuration.
I hope this fix your isues and sorry for my bad english :)

I have been having serious problems running the game on Windows 10: when I ran the game with the compatibility options enabled, the graphics suffered from flickering. Under Windows 7 I was able to fix the graphics by disabling the "HW Vertex Processing", but on Windows 10 this caused a severe lag making the game completely unplayable. (The Ubisoft support was of no help at all.) In the end I have started experimenting with the NVIDIA control panel, and was able to resolve the graphics problems:

* Run SettingsApplication.exe. (I needed to set the program to run under Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.)
* Enable all manual compatibility settings, and set anti-aliasing to Off.
* Save the settings and quit.
* Open the NVIDIA control panel.
* Go to "Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings".
* Choose "Bang! - Gunship Elite (bge.exe)". (If this entry is not visible in the combobox, a) add "Beyond Good and Evil" using the "Add" dialog, or b) uncheck "Show only programs found on this computer".) Note: NVIDIA apparently identifies the game by the name of the executable file; both "Beyond Good and Evil" and "Bang! - Gunship Elite" have the same file name.
* Set Antialising mode to "Override any application setting", and Antialiasing setting to maximum.
* Set the game executable (BGE.exe) to "Windows 7" compatibility settings and run it.

Since then I haven't had any more issues with the flickering. (I have been playing the game with the maximum resolution, too.)
