Try to enter game dir ("Local Files" in game settings, in Library) and set compatibility for both exes (BGE.EXE for game, SettingApplication.exe for settings). Set them to WinXP SP3. If it will not work, well, you are out of luck. Aside of direct Registry editing, of course.
I have been roaming around the topics on this game, and everytime someone else addressed the issue, someone redirects it to another discussion that doesn't exist anymore. I need to understand how to fix this issue.
When I try to launch the settingsapplication.exe or the checkapplication.exe, it says that the Game isn't properly installed, or whatever. You must know the drill. How do I fix it? And please, if you tell me that it was already solved, give me a link that works. Because none, and I say NONE of the links on this huge ass topic work, as o ftoday.
Thank you for your help, I just want to be able to play this game.
Best regards, Zendrek.

Sorry for the delay and to see you're facing these issues - I've merged your threads together here.
Following Smiling Spectre's suggestion of running the game in Compatibility Mode, I'm checking in to see how you're getting on and if that helped at all?
Please let us know if you're still having any issues!
