So, Steam or GOG release is under question.
UPD: Oh, Epic's logo is only in the GameSpot trailer, which seems to be reuploaded from Epic's YT channel. Sorry for the desinform.
Anyway, Steam is currently not mentioned anywhere.
I would imagine a Steam release is coming too, as I don't feel the original would have been delisted from here otherwise.
It's also worth noting that at the time of writing, no store actually has a page for the game just yet.
EDIT: Steam release CONFIRMED in UbiSoft's press release!!![news.ubisoft.com]
Looks like there's no GOG version though, which is probably why the original is still there.
Jup. But a bit sad that it is mandatory. But they do this because in old games you are able to extract a Uplay key and sell it off while playing at Steam... well they are not the smartest in distribution...
Indeed. I would bet this is a policy thing since they probably got Denuvo for all their stuff.
I do not see any value for it here... or in general personally.
Once again this makes me sad that a great game got pushed down by two weird decisions.
Other than that it should be playable without "fixing" you need with the original.
I found this for me to be the best version without any major issues.
