Please release Beyond Good & Evil HD on Steam!

The HD version has been released many years ago only on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Why is it still not available on PC? The version on the Steam store is not the HD version.

I would like it as well and Controller Support since it is already on PSN and Xbox Live.

The current Steam version is the original version of the game released in 2003. The HD remake was released in 2011. It has been over 5 years but sadly, the developers don't seem interested in releasing the HD version on Steam, yet. There should be a petition to show the developers that there is still strong interest in this game. I believe there is a new Beyond Good and Evil game in development, so hopefully the HD remake will be released some time prior to the new game. It's happened to many games before, like Homeworld which got the Remastered version released about a year before the next big Homeworld game: Deserts of Kharak.

I would have to agree since PSN and Xbox Live had Controller Support already on consoles and I'd like to see the HD version ported on PC already and I so wanted to use a controller on my PC and very much than a keyboard, since I pretty much preferred that.

In my opinion, if the developers decide to port the HD remake to PC and release it on Steam, i would not be against a slight price increase on the Steam store which would be justified from the current $10 to maybe $15 in order to act as an incentive for the developers and make up for all the work involved and possible PC bugs that might have to be addressed in the process. Just make it happen! Many people will actually buy it. Look at the success of Grim Fandango, Homeworld, Age of Empires II HD, Age of Mythology: Extended Edition, Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and so many other games which were re-released in HD.

If that's the cause I'd be in support on buying the re-release on steam. PC bugs will have to addressed and I know I'll buying for the re-release. I'm sure that sells will go up with the re-release via PC will do good enough I don't mind paying extra more re-release as long UbiSoft can release BGE 2 and a official release date. I know every fan have been waiting way for BGE2.

You guys should check out the Remaster version im doing of this game for Ishiiruka Dolphin.
It will have higher detailed and higher res Textures then the 360/ps3 remaster.
Widescreen patch, full controller support (Since its the GC version). And thanks to Ishiiruka it will have extra effects not in the original.

A HD Version would be awesome (or a Remake :)) ..maybe with archivements.

I have no problems with the Steam Version.. only few little Textures-glitches.. but that's ok.

After using this mod，I got crazy glitches all over the screen，I can't even take photos.But before using this，the game wasn't playable because of the huge lag.

The game's HD release on Steam would be the perfect opportunity for the developers to patch all these bugs and make the game compatible with Windows 10. But i'm not sure if the developers actually read this Steam discussion forum. Maybe someone should email them and include a link to this thread?

I would bet the reason they never released it on Steam is because they never developed the HD version for PCs. Just because it was released on playstation and xbox doesn't mean they can plunk out a Windows version with 30 seconds of work - they'd have to go back to the source and rewrite it to work. Especially since Windows 10 has crap backwards compatibility, they'd have to special case all around W10 to make it work w/o issues.

Frankly at this point I'm much more interested in BG&E2 actually getting released instead of constantly talked about being in development.
