Beyond Good & Evil

Low FPS Windows 10
Hi. I just downloaded the game and tried to play it, but apparently the game frame rate is really below. It starts immediately, when Jade is practing Yoga with an orphant. The framerates are 10 to 15, which is for me unacceptable to play. I tried to use this mode

, but either I am to dumb to install it or this method doesn't work for me. Any help please?

“ Just extract the "ENB_for_Beyond_Good_and_Evil.rar" (4 files in it) to the the game folder (\Steam\steamapps\common\Beyond Good and Evil) :)” by Shaklin
And it dosen't work with widescreen fix

And here is the catch. I don't owe the game on Steam, but on Uplay. (And boy how I despise it)
But this can't be the cause of the problem. Or can't it? I could ad a foreign game into Steam, but I truly doubt it, that it will help.

Update: Whoa. Suddenly it worked. Don't know why. But there is now an annoying flickering issue during the main game and cutscenes. Any help?

I have all the answers you need, to get rid of the screen tearing, disable the following in the settings: HW vertex Processing, Multi vertex stream and W buffer

The problem is, the lag is back again.
To fix this put the ENB files in the RAR to (/UbisoftGameLauncher/games/BeyondGood&Evil)

Both lag and screen tearing should now be fixed :flowey:

I had the same issue. You need to enable HW vertex processing and/or other compatibility settings, disable AA and force AA in the graphics card drivers. Works perfectly fine without any third-party mods.

Thx Frosty! Had the same issue. Without HW vertex extreme laggy und with HW vertex white glitches.
Now i enabled everything but AA disabled and it works perfect and no patch needed.
i5 6200 and Intel 520.

Enabling all additional graphical options will fix this issue

This worked beautifully, thanks! I don't understand why everyone keeps saying you have to disable all vertex options to launch the game. Enabling them all solves the low FPS issue instead.

That ENB file makes the game look weird to me instead, since it changes everything with more red everywhere.

Alright. So let me ask you this: Can you play with FULL RESOLUTION and stable framerate?
By full I mean using the mod

Personally, I run it in a custom resolution, 1440x1080, which results in black borders on four sides (on a 1080p monitor). I think it's better this way because the textures aren't there for a big screen and 1080p anyway. Everything maxed out, stable framerate, with lots of headroom.

"disable AA and force AA in the graphics card drivers" Err, could you elaborate? Do you mean go in the game somewhere or your GPU control panel settings?

First disable it in the game's launcher, then enable it in GPU control panel.

Glad to see this is still helping players after this time!
