Do you want an unfinished, buggy, possibly unplayable game? If it released now, I can guarantee that's how it will be.

In 2016, BGE 2 was announced to have entered early development. 5 Years is the average length to produce a AAA game - however certain ubisoft employees have touted the game as being a 'AAAA' game, which will undoubtedly have a much longer development cycle if true.

Listen, I get it - you're excited as all hell for BGE2. So am I, but I realized a long time ago that there's no point in maintaining hype over the course of several years for a game that might not even be good.

Once it releases we will probably be elderly and have long forgotten about BG&E2. It would probably take over the internet if it manages to come out

Michel Ancel totally broke down, he totally quit gaming development and ubisoft team, and I don't know if game is to be released without him

A game like this isn't made by a singular individual. It takes longer than expected and has had difficulties, sure. That happens a lot in video game development because video game development is really, really, really hard. (lot of projects gets cancelled or delayed for years and years without the public knowing it)
BGE2 hurdles are just more public that the norm. But again. Most ambitious project are having hurdles and bumpy roads..

Now It will release when ready, and that in itself is good enough.
