Activating Vegas 1+2 on Steam

Hi ladies and gents, some time ago I was in a shop and bought a bundle with Vegas 1 + Vegas 2 (2 cd in a box). I tried (menu Game) to activate these games on Steam, but it says the activation codes I have are not correct.
That's quite strange, because I used these codes to play:l I finished both games and now want to activate them and put them in Steam to play with communty/friends/multiplayer...

Any ideas on what's wrong with the codes?
They look like this:
Vegas 1: RS5-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXM5
Vegas 2: RS6-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXF0

I don't think you can activate them on Steam, despite the key pattern being similar.

When both Vegas games got released, they were not on Steam to begin with, and I think most games which were not meant to be played on Steam in the first place cannot be activated on Steam.

I'm not sure though...

check the list of game keys you can activate. there is a link in the key activation menu.
