Spaceship Construction facility is not taking resources from storage

I notice that if i got a assignment that requires for example steel and concrete, it will not get this from my Construction material storage. i have to remove the storage buildings for the trucks to drive to the spaceship construction facility

Yes, that's right, either to remove them or to make a separate production for adamantine at this stage of the game.

The Construction material storage is purely for building new buildings and networks, it can not have materials removed from it.

That's intended, yes. Supply to other buildings, including the spaceship construction facility, must be done from factories. The storage facility is merely for storing construction materials. Once it's in there, it is no longer available to other buildings.

This is what the districts and distribution centers are for. You can choose who receives the materials from your factories.

Or you can set up a construction material area separate from the spaceship, so the cars can't go any other way.
