Resource visualization, please

It gets easier once you know a bunch of things the game doesn't explain, but at T=0 it can be hard to figure out where a particular mine can be placed. A visualizer that highlights various resource areas would be a huge help here, and a common feature in games.

First I got stuck with the sand miner because there's no deposit, it just goes almost anywhere, and I didn't yet know what the signal for valid placement was.

Then I got in some difficulty looking for aluminum until I noticed it was found in the dark craters and was able to generalize from there.

Yeah, i just tried for a random gen map and i couldn't find oil. Desperately needs resource visualization

The trick there is that on the random gen map there are no oil sites, you can extract it anywhere just like sand.
