Make trains use the mainline, not a sideing to go straight
My trains keep using a siding instead of the mainline when they need to go straight:

The train should be going down the green direction, but it going down the red direction.

I don't know how to make it use the mainline (it should, because of the faster line), but it will make a negligible difference to train times.

It makes more of a difference when multiple trains use the same line, and you get a queue behind 1 train because it's using the station and NONE of the trains behind it will bypass the station.

Yes can confirm this "bug" had the same layout on one Railway and all Trains took the way through the Station even if they were not supposed to do so via their route. None took the non station route (green in the screenshot).

Yes i noticed same thing happening in my game. Trains go through stations even though there is clear straight line provided. They detour for some reason.

Even WAYPOINTS to make the trains go around would help.
At the moment trains are unusable when they have to share lines or there are two trains.
Just get to super highways instead as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, great game !

Train tracking is extremely bad in this game. I have trains that won't move because a train is in the way - even though the other track is going over the top of the first trains track and the two trains are not crossing paths at all.

Had an idea why it might be doing this;
The path-finding system might be seeing stations as a 0-length track.
So instead of taking the 30x long tier 3 track, it'll take the 10x long tier 3 track with 0x length tier 1 track (station).

From my observation it seems to be related with how much "green" is on the tracks between two intersections, visible with the signal view. for some reason I have quite often that the entire segment meant to be a station bypass is marked as orange, while the station is completely green. This gets especially frustrating when multiple tracks are overlapping to account for all the different directions, and trains taking huge detours because there is just an ounce too much orange on the actually short, direct path
