Also will buildings get workers even if they're not connected to the main town?

Really fun game though, enjoying my time with it. Can't wait for then ext update
I dunno what to tell you, I loaded up the game and both worked for me. Maybe you didn't have the gondola in the right direction? Pipes are also super easy to use here. Also, workers are just teleported to work, no connection needed.
also, I had a little fight with getting a road down from the top of the hill containing the uranium to the lower one and I managed to get it - I'll post pictures next time I play
This method worked, thanks.
Built a road to the edge of the ravine, then "moved" the road to the riverbed. I was able to use the elevation tools to raise the road a bit off the ground and make the slope less severe, and was able to take it from there.
