How to quickly farm keys and what to buy?
For newbies, looking at hundreds of keys items is such a hard grind.
What should I buy first to make early journey at ease?

I am also a newbie, I bought extra lives and cluster bomb.
I do not recommend upgrading the free ship and free weapon that was given to you.
I spent 4 dollars to get a lot of keys, then bought the chicken license.
I looked for the ship where I can use level 18 weapons. It's a big, slow ship. I'm still trying to get the hang of using a ship that is not as fast as the mouse pointer speed.

So I should save 3k keys to buy new ship first? is that big ship too slow to control? what elements should I consider?

well for newbies I'd suggest fully upgrading a weapon first. You will need that 8 firepowers for harder missions, which give more keys. As for ship, Mullers are the most common ships among pro players, since it still have unlimited mobility (limited if the mission has massive environment though) and a max power level at 20 firepowers.

Should I save keys to buy skills first, it says increase key drop rate?

I'd say not before fully upgrading a weapon. Harder skills increase key drop rate, but also make missions harder, and more starting firepowers is a necessity there.

Saving 4k keys took me around 15-18 hours without upgrading a single component or spending a single buck.
I mostly played weekly/monthly challenges and stuff and was able to grind those keys for the best ship available, without the chicken license. (16 MAX are as good as 18 MAX)

After that, things got pretty easy. Took me another hour to upgrade the standard weapon from 0 to 3 and bought the most expensive skill for around 700-800 keys which gives you 200% more score.
Now Im kind of OP and it feels great. ^^

is (+MAX) unlimited weapon power, like other CI games, usually 20? description is quite confusing

Exactly. :)
it was quite confusing to me too since "8" is the max-power limit for your starter ship and I wondered why I wouldnt get more fire-power.

Just found a galaxy with Space Burger and 2 Droids, raiding droid and exchanging keys at the moment, keys go up so fast.

It means you can reach maximum of power at 20, I think

It means the spacecraft has an extra power level at 10 levels above the specified power limit. Only Mullers and Bombers have access to the max power level.

@_someRandomDude

Are you really sure about this ? I highly doubt that......
The way I understand, is that it just shows the max. power capability of each ship.

Your starter ship has a max. capability 8 power units.
That means your weapon wont upgrade anymore after reaching 8 power units. Thats why every upgrade after that, shows up as "+1"/"+2"/"+X", etc.

Same goes with other ships. My new ship has a max. power capability of "16".
That means I can upgrade the weapon ingame up to 16 units, before it reaches its maximum efficiency.

Simple as that. ^^

Yup. The starter ship is a H&C 101, which has a power limit of 8, not 8 (+MAX). Your new ship, which is a BX-8 because you said its power limit is 16 actually has a power limit of 16 (+MAX), so its weapon will upgrade one more time at level 16 + 10. H&Cs and VFs ships do not receive the max power level, while Mullers and BXs do. A bit confusing TBH :/
Side note: For BXs, the max power level will increases the firepower of both pylons by 1, not just for one pylon. So at max power, BX-7 / BX-8 / BX-9 actually has the firepower of two fp8 / fp9 / fp10 weapons.
