Anyone Play Assassin's Creed On Windows 7?

When I checked the requirements, it says that it would only work on Windows XP and Vista. If anyone else plays this on windows 7 without a problem, or is 100% sure it would work, please let me know.

I just downloaded this game through here and it just does the Ubisoft logo thingy and it just does the whole 'this program has to close' blah, blah and thats it, at first i thought it was a windows 8.1 thing, but Skilln has no problem with it.

I have no other troubles with other games, even older games then AC work flawlessly.

Yeah this game has problems with Windows 7 and above. The game came out before Windows 7, but Ubisoft never went back and optimised it for Windows 7 / 8.

It works flawlessly on Windows XP, but even that that is ending support next year.

You can run the game in DX9, though. So your best bet would be that.

Played all of the AC games on my Windows 7 x64 ultimate edition, just fine :)

Recently came back to playing AC after a long layoff to find the game crashing on launch, but when I double click on DX9 or DX10 in the game file it launches all the way in.
