why the triggers of my xbox 360 controller do not work?

As the title says, I tryed to use my controller but when I try to customize the controls, it does not let me use the triggers, anyone else has this problem? sorry if I mispell something, still learning english.

Ok, someone in the ACII posted a solution:

Put these in the game folder and it fixes the problem, it says for wireless but mine is wired and it fixed the issue.

Nevermind, make sure your controller is on and synchronized before launching the game. This download works better than good, it's just like playing on Xbox.

works nice! I just bought the game and got a little bit frustrtrated after I started it and I realized that my triggers won't work. so i tried this and it works perfectly!!

For me this fix worked on first run but not again on any run after that.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

I've tried re-downloading and replacing the files but to no avail.

Does anyone have further suggestions?

UPDATE (FIXED):
It turns out that between my first and second play I had installed something called Juni Joystick, which had set itself as my "preferred controller".

So, the moral of this story is, make sure that your 360 controller is set as the primary controller by (in Win7) typing "Set up USB game controllers" in the Start Menu, Click the "Advanced..." button and ensuring that the 360 controller is the preferred device.

FYI, works with xbox one controller on AC1 aswell (havnt tested AC2 yet)

Hey guys I'm having the same problem I've tried using the fix but still my right trigger wont do anything. this is making the game very difficult since I cant parry an attack etc. Does anyone have any ideas? oh I'm using a Xbox One controller if that helps

I was having the same problem on AC1 using an XBONE controller. I downloaded the file that was linked and extracted it in the game's root directory - still didn't work.

Figured out the problem though - the extracted files were put in a new directory, rather than unpacked directly into the game's root folder. All working now after moving the files. Check to see you haven't done the same - fingers crossed it's just this.

So I can use my Xbox One Controller (with cable) as a 360 one. And the triggers work perfectly.

With that file, where abouts do you download it too? I'm in the AC 1 folder, but I don't normally do these types of things?

You can download the tool in your AC 1 folder. It creates the files directly in that folder. After that you can delete the app.

Though through trial and error I managed to configure my Thrustmaster controller to work even without this fix, but that was a major pain in the backside for sure.
