They're passable at best. Not awful, but not anything I'd go out of my way to call good.

And, in my experience, Revelations is when it started to get worse. They had ONE good port in my opinion.

The first game was a bad port back in 2008. But now, probably every modern low end PC can play it easly. AC2 with its DLCs was okay, I didn't have any problems (but Xbox 360 gamepad controlller support was messed up, needs fix which is available). I remember AC3 had some problems, but it was a long time ago. Hardware is more powerful now, so I don't think you'd experience any problems. Not sure about AC4, but there's a fun fact. Nvidia paid Ubisoft for better perfomance on their graphics cards. You get it, right? That's pretty all about it. Unity is a bunch of crap. At all aspects, both gameplay and optimisation. I think we all expected this to happen to PC version, but those new consoles are running this game at unstable 30 fps with huge drops down to 20. It's BS. I don't want to talk much about Liberation. It's a 2 hour game, PS Vita port. What can you expect?

A little note. Don't support Ubisoft. Get AC1 and AC2 if you really want to, but that's all. They started milking their fans after those were released. I even forced myself to get AC3 for Xbox 360, because AC3 was unplayable at its state right after release. I spent about 2 hours and abadoned this game then. I didn't like it so much. I heard alot about Black Flag. People say it was awesome, but I just skipped it...you understand why. And then, here comes Unity. Not just their games, but Ubisoft's marketing ways are disgusting. They used to make good games, but they became Activision/EA-kind company.

So, I brought to you some information about ports, but are you sure that you want to support Ubisoft by giving your money to them? I'd say No if you ask me. I don't respect them any more.

AC1 has a small difference to consoles, which is the rooftop race investigations. Nothing too hard except for the last one.

AC2 Deluxe comes with all the DLC. I had bad screen tearing (HD6970 here) and bad microstuttering with V-Sync on. Other than that, performance is good.

But AC2 is when they started their ♥♥♥♥ Uplay (Ubi's store and achievement stuff) thing. If you get AC2, you're going to need a Uplay account on top of your Steam account. A ♥♥♥♥ practice by Ubi.

From what I've seen, Unity is basically a Watch_Dogs style AC with all those upgrades. I'll buy it on sale, because it seems the performance isn't so hot.
