Where is the Assassin's Creed Activation Code/CD Key?

I want to register that I own this game on Uplay and I need the CD Key to do it. I own it in Steam, I've installed it, and I can't find the code anywhere. Anyone do this successfully?

I also have this problem when I tried to activate it at Uplay at launch, but it disappeared. In addition I have also problems with this game, to play with the Xbox One controller and this is connected to cable.

You don't need code becouse assassin is on steam.

The reason I ask is because I bought all the AC games on Steam and I see them all available on Uplay too, except for AC1. I just wanted to see if I could activate it there too. If something were to ever happen to my Steam account I'd have a backup. All the other UbiSoft games i own show up on Uplay so why doesn't this one?

After changing my google search I found out that AC1 can't be enabled on Uplay because it was made before Uplay and doesn't have the functionality built in. Doesn't look like it will ever be added either.

Well, at least there is an answer if anyone asks this question in the future.

Well if you ever loose access to your steam account you won't be able to play as uplay only allows to launch the steam version. you cant download the game via uplay. well not sure about the latest but AC2 sure only allows to "play" even it is not installed at this time.
