Wired Xbox One Controller, Keyboard/Mouse Not Working

So I decided I'd play through the entire series again, but I'm running into a problem right out of the gate.

If I have my Xbox One controller plugged in, the keyboard and mouse don't work in the game. Not even in the menus. If I use an Xbox 360 controller, everything works fine. Problem is, I much prefer the Xbox One controller (those smoooooth, smooth feeling thumbsticks, man).

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?

Me too. When controller is plugged (wired or wireless) nothing works (neither the controller obviously). Help us!

Okay i have a fix. Turn on your xbox one controller start the game and turn the controller off (pull battery out or wire whichever you have) then you should be able to use mouse and keyboard go to options and control customization turn on your xbox one controller, select it and then you can use it. you should only have to this once. After doing this with me it'll go to press any key so i do then i used the mouse to select my profile (sense the keyboard wouldnt work). Sense i have the xbox one controller already set in my profile, the controller just works after i select my profile. This SHOULD work for you guys lol i hope it does.
