XBOX ONE CONTROLLER SOLUTION
http://wccftech.com/xbox-controller-pc-drivers-download-courtesy-major-nelson/
Download the driver from this website and then go into the controller settings in the game and bind the buttons. Works first try. None of these other people figured this out. The 'Automatic' XBOX One Windows 10 or Windows Update files do not work (with AC 1 anyway). You have to download the USB files located on this website. Major Nelson deleted the links to download these files, but some websites out there still have the files for you to download.
ALSO
The files the OP apparently made for this discussion thread do not work for XBOX One controllers. I fussed troubleshooting this issue for several hours and when I tried using the original Major Nelson XBOX One files (he deleted from his Microsoft Blog post), it fixed the issue. Nothing else seems to work. Downloading the 'XBOX Accessories' App from the Windows Store and all the other suggestions did not work.
Using Windows 7 64bit
Try using the x360ce. Used it with my Wireless Xbox One controller.
I discovered the problem was partially because I'm an idiot. I missed the arrow buttons somehow to scroll over to the controller. So, with this it works now. Partially.
Seems the Steam Link isn't as forgiving. While the controller works with Steam link, for whatever reason the fixes this provides does not work. Works fine on just my PC, but controls go back to default when I run it on the link. Seems like having the wireless receiver plugged into the Steam link doesn't pull the data.
Any ideas?
So no solution on Steam link most likely?
