Best Starting Animal?
In your opinion, at least. Which farm critter is the best to start with?

a very general question. i'd say it depends on what your town already has or is in need of. top 2 for me, as a basic game, would be chicken or leather animal. chicken for its meat and eggs obviously while leather, from buffalo or cattle, is used to make useful clothes and shoes.

unfortunately, chicken isn't one of the animals your highly experienced hunters can catch so, if i am just basing on hunted animals it would be alpaca. those wool takes forever to produce... thinking of the long game here.

that said, i hardly pay attention to which animal pops up first. more importantly, is the segregation of herds and pastures so they don't succumb to the plague

I meant like when using starting cubs, lol. But I see your points. :)

i forgot that was an option. i have that off so i don't really have an idea what animals you can cycle through but go for chicken (or turkey) if it's available. access to fast raising animals for meat can readily give you faster access to higher levels of food
