Just over 20 hours into the game and been enjoying it. But started getting this pop up which states the above in a box with confirm or cancel buttons. Hitting either does nothing other than freezing the game.

I've tied verifying files in Steam, uninstalling, deleting game folder and app data folder, reg check, and reinstalling, but still getting the error.

Same. I uninstalled all files related to the game including workshop stuff. I still get the error. I tried different builds (alpha, beta, etc.), tried the high settings or low settings option when the game starts, Made sure all my drivers and others stuff is updated and current. Did many Google searches, joined the Discord server, read through discussions there and here and have found nothing that helps. Still get the error. I sent an email a few weeks ago for feedback and possible help but have heard nothing so far.

I really enjoy this game. I hope to get a resolution. :(

Same here. Just bought the game and I passed the last hour trying all kinds of workarounds.
Unity logs are talking about invalid shaders or unfound game objects depending on which game launch setting I choose (high/low graphics).
I tried various proton versions, with dxvk or wined3d.
Seeing there's no support for the game anymore I'll ask for a refund then.

tried loading this up today and got the same messege in game, clicked confirm and tried to load my save anyways, once it hit loading screen it said the messege again and no matter which i click, confirm or cancel, the game just sits in loading screen and does nothing, i have to force exit game, ive tried verifying files several times in steam, each time it says its 100% verified and all good, ive even tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect either, also does this when trying to start a new game

The game auto-updated the release today. Now I get the same issue. Unable to load a game or start a new one since the pop-up freezes the game, no matter the choice. I enjoyed this game, but now it is unplayable....

Had to buy a new PC a few days ago (Win 11) because the old PC (Win 10) stopped working. It worked fine on the old PC. Now I have the same problem: the game starts, but as soon as you try to start a new game, it freezes. Even getting out of the frozen game is difficult. Sorry, my English isn't that good, I never really needed it after I left school 70 years ago.

Im having the same problem. I just bought the game and was looking forward to playing but it brings the pop up and then freezes I cant even play the game and was thinking of getting my money back

Dear Steam team, please make sure that the game also runs on Windows 11. It is unacceptable that game developers stop producing patches overnight so that the game runs properly, but it is still offered for sale despite major defects. So make sure the game runs properly, or it will be taken off sale. It is unacceptable that game developers who no longer have the desire to develop the game further and fix bugs are still collecting money for leaving behind an UNFINISHED, BUGGED game, but happily continue collecting money for it because you cannot see that the game has various defects when you buy it.

Deutsch: Wertes Steam Team. Sorgt doch bitte dafür dass das Spiel auch unter Win 11 läuft. Es kann ja nicht angehen das die Spieleentwickler von heute auf morgen die Produktion von Patches einstellen damit das Spiel vernüftig läuft, es aber immer noch trotz großer Mängel im Verkauf angeboten wird. Also sorgt dafür das das Spiel vernüftig läuft oder es aus dem Verkauf heraus genommen wird. Kann ja schlecht angehen das die Spielentwickeler die keine Lust mehr haben das Spiel weiter zu entwickeln, Fehler zu beseitigen immer noch Geld dafür kassieren das sie ein UNFERTIGES; FEHLERHAFTES Spiel hinterlassen aber fröhlich weiter Geld dafür kassieren, weil man ja beim Kauf nicht erkennen kann das das Spiel diverse Mängel hat.

Sorry, mein Englisch was ich vor 60 Jahren mal lernte ( Schulenglisch) ist eingerostet da ich es nie gebraucht habe.
