Seriously? No Leather from Cows?
Umm... what? Haven't cows been a source of leather for literally centuries, if not millennia? How is it that you can justify NOT including leather as something produced by cows? Do you (as devs) want it to be hard to get, when it's really not?

I'm guessing you're talking about the dairy cows? If I remember correctly the other cows do give leather. I could be wrong about that, ive only had those once and its been a while.

In the real world. It doesn't matter whether they are dairy cows, or not. When they stop producing milk, we kill them, eat them and use their hide for leather. It's the way of things, and it should be that way in the game. Having "dairy cows" and "leather cows" is stupid if that's the case.

I agree. All types of cows have leather. It should be that way in game as well. Perhaps the devs have not actually seen a real cow before.

My guess is a balance issue. Similar things with other animals: No milk from sheep, no eggs from geese.

Cattle has leather. Cow's don't. As in real life, you don't slaughter dairy cows, right? U need the milk from them =)

If they have outlived their usefulness, you do. I have a friend whose family owns a ranch. They'd be the first to tell you that. I think getting a small amount of leather would be better than none at all.

Yes. That is correct my friend. but it's not their main thing. Bu yes, i find it too kinda weird that cows doesn't give leather. But if they did (pigs don't give it either) I'd be swimming in leather and have no idea where to put it. So i think too that it's a balance issue =)

There is no reason to buy and raise cows even if you want milk. Just raise cattle and sell excess leather for milk. You'll end up with more.

Are you sure about that? I have a friend who is a dairy farmer and he once told me that when the cows dry up (dont produce milk anymore) they get shipped to McDonalds heaven.
