None of the things you said relates to what I have stated in anyway.
Why don't you break it down in mathematical terms and tell me how it is balanced.
Cattle produces 52 more meat, 18 more leather, and 8 more fat than cows. Cows produce 2 milk bottles.
I can't wait for the very talented mental gymnastics explaining how 2 milk bottles are worth the same as or more than 52 beef, 18 leather, and 8 fat.
As farked as I think the balance in this game is, I feel the need to reply because the 2 milk bottles are from the daily gain, like the ♥♥♥♥♥. Not the slaughter proceeds.
You know what? You're right. I have two screenshots of annual gains from cows and cattle raised in the same sized pasture with the same upgrades:

When you add up the beef and milk produced by cows annually, it is still 115 less than cattle, not to mention the 440 leather or the 125 fat.
Doing the math, the amount of cows slaughtered the previous year was 162 beef/26 = 6.23 which also adds up when you calculate based on fat gains. The amount of cattle slaughtered is around 12 when you do the math. This means that cows are kept alive longer to produce milk.
This all falls in on itself when you also look at the amount of dung produced by both species. They're basically identical because it's 2 dung daily even though cattle are killed at twice the rate. Since cows produce 2 milk and dung daily, the only conclusion I can come up with is that there's a time frame where cows are considered "young" and do not produce milk, making it more imbalanced.
Wow what wonderful insight. I will definitely ignore all the various problems with resource production from now on instead of pointing them out so the devs can better balance their EARLY ACCESS game because you said so now.
Completely ignore all the potential crops and livestock not telling you how much they produce until you get a few seeds/livestock BLIND and try them out for a few in-game years to compare and contrast to see if your time and investment was worthwhile. No they have nothing to do with self sufficiency and money at all.
