Food Issues
Hey, ive been playing the game for a bit and was wondering if anyone else is having trouble keeping people fed. My current state is around 45/20/31, with 8 standard fields, 2 orchards, 3 forresters, 2 hunting lodges, 2 fisheries, and 2 pastures. for whatever reason it seems like maybe my farms aren't producing, and a solid 10-15 people die every year as a result, is this normal? I'm playing on default settings but this seems a little extreme to always be near empty on food and most of my workers are food based.

-make storage area for them to drop products and keep storages close to them
-if you go for fishing ,invest salt mining and and make salted fish (ban fish for people)
-if you go for farming , invest farming tech tree to make better fields and more product
-if you go for meat ,invest pasture farm tech tree to get more product ,only large pastures are productive in my opinion ,at first go for hunting but turkey and pig farms can give you good meat , what kind of animal you have is important
-dont try to have them all at the begining , focus on few areas and be good on them ,try to solve clothing and hunger problem first ,without them , people starts to run around like crazy
-use trade for missing products
that hungry fellas are like vampires , ı saw 5 of them ate all my 8 standard farm yearly product in storage :)

thats great advice thank you, It's been a constant game of whack a mole my first play-through, every winter shifting from farms to clothing and back since i could never stay at full production haha

I've had major issues grasping the keys to surviving in this game. I've discovered two YouTubers who have posted very helpful Settlement Survival tip videos. Sarmate Gaming and oVioletValkyriex. They have different styles and priorities. Both have helped me continue playing with MUCH LESS DRAMA!!!
